VANILLA CINNAMON WHIPPED BODY BUTTER

Yup, its something to apply to your body and not meant for eating. As we all know vanilla is known as the β€œQueen of flavors”. It is widely used in the food industry as its plant derivative and giving that soothing flavor liked by almost all . its appealing due to its unique and universal flavor. Vanilla is also perceived as a beautiful and delicate spice of traceable origin.

For me vanilla just reminds me of my childhood due to all the ice creams being infused with it β€œit’s an absolute must”.

Also, It is also increasingly used in savory dishes to season meat and vegetables. According to Dr. Havkin-Frenkel Vanilla also has a high level of antioxidants, and adding this to food makes it healthier. Let’s see the other prominent ingredient for our body butter and that’s cinnamon. Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of several tree species from the genus Cinnamomum. It is found that cinnamon has certain benefits which include treating of certain fungal infections. A 2016 laboratory study found that cinnamon oil was effective against a type of Candida that affects the bloodstream. This may be due to its antimicrobial properties. Cinnamon’s distinctive fragrance is a result of the cinnamaldehyde it contains.

So let’s start making the DIY β€œbaked goods scented” body butter.


The ingredients used:



SHEA BUTTER:

It’s an Oil rich in fats that is derived from the karite tree (also known as the Shea tree) is your solution for many skin, health, and hair health issues. Benefits for skin include moisturizes dry skin, treats acne and blemishes, reduces skin inflammation, It’s an anti-aging and anti-free radical agent and restores the elasticity of the skin.

COCOA BUTTER:

Cocoa butter is a rich moisturizing cream. It can treat facial scars, heals damaged skin and helps to treat skin conditions like eczema and dermatitis.

FRACTIONATED COCONUT OIL:

Coconut oil is one of nature’s super foods. It is praised for its versatile health benefits. Not only is it a fantastic choice for cooking and baking, but it is also wonderful for skin health. Coconut oil contains natural anti-inflammatory properties. It’s an β€œanti-aging” oil that keeps skin hydrated, giving it a healthy glow. Coconut oil heals damaged tissue, infections and treats various skin conditions. Fractionated coconut oil gets absorbed by the skin faster than regular coconut oil.

VITAMIN E OIL:

Vitamin E oil is both a nutrient and an antioxidant that helps to rejuvenate your skin. These vitamin E oil benefits could do wonders for your skin. It helps in increasing the shelf life of the body butter by not letting the oils go rancid.


VANILLA EXTRACT:

Benefits of adding this ingredient benefits the skin in these ways: Treats acne promotes healthy skin, soothes burns, anti-ageing properties.


JOJOBA OIL:

Deeply-hydrating, nutritious for the skin, long lasting moisturization and its Non greasy.

CINNAMON ESSENTIAL OIL:

It’s got antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant properties.

Step 1:

Create a double boiling system with a heat resistant bowl on top of a saucepan. Boil water in the saucepan.




























Step 2:

Melt the butters and Fractionated coconut oil in the double boiler.












Step 3:

Let the melted butter and oil reach room temperature.












Step 4:

Whisk for a minute




Step 5:

Add in the vanilla extract ,essential oils and vitamin E oil and mix it using a whisker.



Step 6:

let the mixture cool down in fridge for almost 10 minutes until partially solid.





Step 6:

Using immersion blender for 5-7 minute whip until creamy and fluffy.



Step 7:

Scoop out into containers and enjoy !!

Slather it whenever you need it. This recipe can be a little greasy as we haven’t added any light powder like cornstarch . So, it’s to better use it at night after a hot bath so you won’t feel heavy the next morning.
