GOOSEBERRY RICE | Amla Rice | Nellika Rice

Immunity Boosting Rice Recipe. Gooseberry or Amla benefits for the health are endless. It is great to control diabetes, prevent heart diseases and it is high in anti oxidants.


This recipe is rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin A which are both essential for our skins health.


The taste and flavor is different from the rice we usually make. It is a healthy and tasty recipe that everyone can enjoy.




Ingredients Used:







GRATED INDIAN GOOSEBERRY ( GRATED AMLA)









DRIED CHILLIES








RAW PEANUTS






MUSTARD SEEDS







CASHEW NUTS







TURMERIC







FRESH CURRY LEAVES









SPLIT CHICKPEAS (CHANA DAL)







ONION FINELY CHOPPED







FENUGREEK POWDER









SPLIT DEHUSKED BLACK GRAM (URAD DAL)







SALT





RED CHILLI POWDER





















STEPS TO FOLLOW:

Heat oil in pan with mustard seeds until spluttered.



















2. Add in the Peanuts, Chillies, Cashews, Channa Dal, Urad Dal, Curry Leaves.
















3. Add in the onion and salt to taste. Sauté until soft.
















4. Add in the Turmeric , Fenugreek powder and Asafoetida powder (Hing).


















5. Now, add in the main ingredient - Grated Amla , Then add in the chili powder according to taste and and sauté it well until flavors are released.































The gooseberry mixture for the rice is ready.


6. The last step is adding the mixture into cooked rice and mix well without breaking the rice.
